The daikon radish is often referred to as a "tillage" radish as it has a remarkable ability to drill into and open up the soil. These are great cover crops to improve soil health, particularing in our heavy Indiana soils. Another great benefit is these radishes will harvest nutrients from the soil storing them over the winter and releasing in the spring for your next crop.
